This is the story of a girl, tired of the world and wanting simply to vanish. Answering a calling from another world, she is wisked away to a time of war between brothers in which she is the Goddess of Wings, who shall awaken the great Dragon Amor Escaflowne. Though she doesn't believe in herself, many others do, and in turn she finds a will and a love in the name of the Dragon King Van.
